Welcome to the Summer issue of Perth Street Car Magazine. This issue is jam-packed with tough cars, detailed technical articles and extensive event coverage.
We have all the action from Powercruise WA, Narrogin Revheds, the All Ford Day and the ever-popular Armadale Auto Parts Show. Add to that an introduction to the new Australian Motoring Enthusiasts Party, which is now established in WA.
Our feature cars this issue are a reflection on the quality and variety of machines being constructed in WA at the moment, captured in stunning photographs there is definitely something for everyone. From classic American Iron Chevs, Chargers and Camaros to 9-second late model Falcons, killer Commodores and a host of sweet Toranas. There is even an LS-powered Mercedes for something completely different!
On the technical front we have three special articles outlining all the upgrades that are currently available for the brand new VF Commodore. Starting with a base SS or HSV we have proven combinations to put your VF into the 12s with ease and then take it all the way into the 9s – while still 100% street drivable. Engine builds, blower upgrades and camshaft swaps have these VFs screaming down the quarter mile.
For the Ford fans we have the start of a new 434 Windsor engine being built by Ierace Automotive using a highly modified pair of Kaase C400 cylinder heads that has all the ingredients to make big power. And our feature on the whipple-powered Coyote engines from BPT Motorsport is turned up a big notch this issue.
SCM Race Engines’ 355 Holden engine hits the dyno and makes some great numbers at big rpm – an excellent result backed up with some quick ETs. The 434 Chev project hits the machine shop and takes another step closer to completion.
If you want to know what it feels like to do 240kmh one-inch off the ground, see our article on Superkart madness!
These articles are just the tip of the iceberg of this 272-page monster so grab your copy today.
