Motorvation 26. [Archived]
Motorvation 26 will see WA’s most popular street machine and custom car show move to three days. This is the first time that Motorvation has gone to three days since the move to the Perth Motorplex in 2001. Friday night activities include an evening supercruise, driving events, a winner-takes-all burnout competition, plus some other ‘features’ to be announced. The other big change is that Topside will not be a part of Motorvation 26. Topside, while permitting more entrants, put huge pressure on the logistics of getting the vehicles in and out of that area, especially during the supercruises.
In it’s current state the Perth Motorplex can hold 600 entrants for Motorvation with 50 plus in the Elite Pavilion and 550 odd in the Pit Paddock. Feature vehicles confirmed so far are the return of the USA Jet Dragsters for the ‘Night of Fire’; joined by the Aussie Bandit Wheelstander for a touch of visual overload. Several feature show cars are under consideration and will be announced shortly. Motorvation 26 will be a full-on event with six supercruises, asphalt and grass driving events, a dyno shootout, Miss Motorvation, the Friday night Pound the Ground burnout comp, the Motorvation 26 Burnout comp with qualifying sessions for Blown and Open categories on Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening with the finals on Sunday afternoon. Motorvation 26 will start at 5pm on Friday 13th and will run through to 5pm Sunday.
